1 Month Old
Crew James is one month old today. What?! This month flew by so fast. It's amazing how much Crew has changed in one month's time. Time needs to slow down! In just one short month, our lives have changed so much, and we wouldn't change a thing about it. Our hearts are so full of love for this little boy.
We had Crew's one month check-up today. He is up to 9 pounds and 2.5 ounces, and he's 21.5 inches long. Little man is growing! Milestones: Crew picks his head up and moves it from side to side during tummy time, and today I swear he was following my gaze! Some of his favorite things: looking at our upper windows in the living room, eating (a lot!), sleeping in his rock-n-play, going for walks and car rides, being held, and hanging out with Daddy when he gets home from work. Least favorite things: diaper changes, tummy aches, doctor appointments, and making toots.
We love you so much, Baby Crew! Happy 1 Month Birthday! XOXO- Mommy and Daddy

Adorable
We had a lazy Sunday here with our little man. It was a rough night of sleep last night. Hope tonight is better!

Life With Crew
It's hard to believe it's been two weeks since we brought home our little man, Crew, home from the hospital. I still can't believe we have a baby boy! He's so incredibly perfect, and we are so in love with him.
The first week home was a little challenging. Crew lost 10.4% of his body weight before we brought him home, so we had to try to get him to gain weight through frequent feedings and supplementation. He also had jaundice and had to be on a biliblanket light for two days to get his bilirubin levels down. The challenging part was that the jaundice made him so tired, it was hard to keep him awake for a feeding, which, in turn, made it difficult to try to get him to pack on some ounces! Thankfully I had my mother-in-law, Diane, at our house to help out when I needed it. My mom stopped by to help lots, too (I have the best moms!). By the end of last week his bilirubin levels were down (yeah!) and his weight went up to 7 pounds 5.7 ounces.
This week was a little smoother. Because Crew was gaining weight, I was able to back off on the supplementation. Today I had an appointment for his weight check, and he weighed 7 pounds 13.5 ounces. WAHOOO!!! What a champ! It's so great to be settling into a routine. I feel much more rested and less stressed, and Crew seems like a happy and content little guy. Can't wait to see what next week brings!

Baby Sherman has Arrived!
...and it's a BOY!!! Crew James was born at 7:58am on April 28th. He was 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and 18.5 inches long.
Crew's birth was the most amazing moment of our lives. Jeremy and I were very surprised he was a boy! He is so perfect and we are so in love with our little guy. At the end of my c-section I heard Crew crying, and the doctor said, "Okay Daddy, take a look!" Jeremy stood up and looked over the curtain. He had the hugest smile on his face! Then they said, "Aren't you going to tell her?!" After what seemed like forever, Jeremy finally said, "It's... a... BOY!" I couldn't be happier or feel more blessed. Thank you all for the love and support!
