Ivie- 4 months!

Ivie Girl is 4 months old! It's unreal how fast time is flying since she entered the world! She is growing and changing right before our eyes and we just wish time would slowwwww down. 

At her 4 month appointment Ivie was 15 pounds, 8 ounces and 25 inches long. Dr. Mary was impressed with how strong and alert she was!

Ivie's been loving to stick her fingers in her mouth. Already she loves watching her big brother and the shenanigans he gets into. She's a lover and likes to be held and cuddled. She still sleeps best swaddled up in her rock n play. We tried to make the transition to the crib one night, big mistake. We've decided to take that one slowly. 

She still doesn't like car rides or being in her car seat. Bath time and being outside are her favorites. Soon we'll be able to start her on cereal. Crazy!!

Since joining our family, you have brought so much joy. You mean the world to us, along with your brother, and we thank God for you every day. We are so proud of the little angel you are.

4th of July

CREW is 2!

***I wrote this post shortly after Crew's 2nd birthday. I'm just getting to publish it now. :-/

On April 28th, our Bubba boy turned two years old! It's insane how time flies when you're a parent! In a blink of an eye, Crew has grown from a little adorable baby into a happy, funny, smart, and sweet little boy.

Crew is one happy little guy! His hearty laugh is just about the best sound in the world. He's got the best smile, where his whole face lights up and his little eyes sparkle. The littlest things make him happy-- seeing a truck out our window, jumping on pillows with Daddy, seeing Poopsie waiting for him downstairs when he wakes up, visitors, especially his family members, and being outside (Crew LOVES to be outside). He is obsessed with anything with wheels-- trucks, cars, tractors, wheelers, etc. He likes to break out into song throughout the day. His favorite is Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. He actually gets most of the words right on that one! Baa, Baa Black Sheep, Happy Birthday song, and Daddy Finger are also some of his favorites to sing. 

Funny. Crew LOVES to be the center of attention and make people laugh. He likes to hide and pop out saying "Peek-ooo!" He likes to show his muscles off and dance around our living room. He makes the cutest "dance face" he learned from daddy. He loves to dance with daddy on weekend mornings with the music blaring. 

I'm not just saying this because he is my child and I want to toot my own horn, buuuut our boy is one smart cookie! He has a huge vocabulary already. It really started to explode after turning 18 months. Now he strings words into little mini sentences like, "Mommy hold Crew," "Little bit marshmallows," or Poopsie! No poop house!" He repeats everything we say, so we really have to start being more careful with what we say! He hasn't said "Oh sh*t" in a while though, so that's good! If we ask him to spell his name he will get some of the letters right and say "C, W, E." He loves to read books and can finish the sentences in a lot of them.  It's so fun to watch him discover and learn new things. He is a quick learner and remembers so much!

Crew is a little lover. He says "love you" every day and loves to give kisses and hugs. He doesn't like to see anyone sad. Just the other day Ivie was crying and Crew said, "Sister cry." I love holding his little hand and cuddling up with him on the couch or in his rocker. He still loves to be snuggled. I hope that never goes away.

Toy- Trucks or Hot Wheels cars
Books- Busy Builders, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Hop on Pop, Max the Minnow
Food- Grapes, Watermelon, Hamburger Happy Meal, Tacos
Game- "1, 2's"- Jeremy and Crew hop from pillow to pillow in the living room saying, "1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2!"
Color- He doesn't say a favorite yet, but tends to choose blue when given the choice.
Song- Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Activity- Playing outside... He LOVES to be outside.

We had his birthday party on April 30th. We decorated with a construction theme and he loved it. The weather was crappy, but we still had a great day! Here are some pictures from the day.
