18 Months
Dear Crew James, AKA Mr. Independent,
You're 18 months old!!! We cannot believe how much you've grown. You've changed from a baby to a little boy right in front of our eyes. You're measuring 31.5 inches and 25 lb 11 oz. The doctor said you're doing great developmentally at your appointment yesterday.
You are getting into everything these days! You're a curious one and want to figure out how everything works. You've recently been trying to put clothes, shoes and socks on by yourself. You love to put daddy and mommy' shoes on and walk around the house.
You are a happy and fun little boy! You love to spin in circles and giggle until you get dizzy and fall down. You also love being outside more than anything. You throw a huge tantrum when it's time to come in the house. Books are one of your favorite things! Mommy and Daddy love reading to you each night. Your favorite book is a touch and feel tractor book.
You are obsessed with anything and everything with wheels! You love trucks and tractors. When you see one you point and say "truck!" Or "tractor!" You love to carry around Hot Wheels cars all the time.
You're starting to recognize and say letters. This week you've even begun trying to sing your ABC song! We watch Wheel of Fortune almost every night and you love to yell out letters at the TV. Your favorites are E, B, D, G, and S.
Your favorite food these days is bananas! You also like turkey dogs, apples, grapes, and sweet potato fries. You still have to stay away from dairy and egg until we get your allergy test at age 2. You got your hands on a mini Three Musketeers on Halloween. It got all over your astronaut suit. When I noticed you had it, you had chocolate all over your face. You looked at me and said "wow."
Some of the words you say a lot are: mama or mommy, dada or daddy, truck, tractor, nana (for banana), apple, shoes, teeth, eyes, uh oh!, wow, duck, shish (fish), up, on. and butt-butt. You can point out your eyes, hair, nose, ears, teeth, butt-butt, and belly button (you love belly buttons).
Your sitter, Hillary, takes great care of you while mom and dad are at work. She cares a lot about you and you're always coming home with fun crafts you make at her house. You love playing with her daughter Braelyn!
Your days looks like this: up at 6:30ish, oatmeal for breakfast with some milk, snack at 9, lunch at 11:15-30ish, nap noonish til 2:00, snack at 2:30, dinner at 5:30, bath and books at 7:00, and in bed at 7:30. You just recently moved to one nap from two.
You love, love, love your lion stuffed animal named Leo. You cuddle up with him at night and like to carry him around during the day. You're starting to get pretty attached to that lion!
Crew, you make us so proud each day. Seeing you smile and laugh makes us more happy than we could have imagined. Thank you for being YOU-- silly, fun, energetic, curious, happy you. You are our bubba, and we love you to the moon.
Love,
Mama and Daddy
Blast off! Halloween 2015
Crew was an astronaut this year for Halloween! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. It's especially fun to have a little one to dress up! I found the astronaut costume on Amazon and created a stroller space shuttle out of tag board and foam board for Crew to trick or treat in. We went trick or treating with some friends in Edgar. Though the weather wasn't the best, it was a great day!

Visit to Grandma and Grandpa Sherman's House
Last weekend we spent a great weekend in Crivitz by Crew's Grandma D and Grandpa Ice. Crew had a BLAST visiting, exploring, and playing with all of the cool toys!
