Grandpa Ice
Jeremy had these pictures of Crew and Grandpa Ice on his phone from our Crivitz visit last month. They're too cute not to share!

Hailey's Birthday Party
I've been slacking a little on my posts. Sorry!
A couple weekends ago we went to Mitchell's house in Butternut for Hailey's birthday party. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time!

Mommy's Back to Work
I write this post with sadness. Being home with Crew the past four months has been the most rewarding time of my life. Being a mommy has been my dream since I was a little girl playing "house" with my dollies. Crew is only four months old, but it's hard to imagine my life without this little guy. I know I'm just going back to work, but it's so hard for me to think about being away from him for nine+ hours Monday-Friday. I've been able to be there for his first smiles, coos, and laughs. I've been able to sooth him when he's crying or having a bad day. I am sad to think of what I'll miss while I'm at work.
Lisa texted me this picture on Monday while they were watching Crew. It said, "She loves him!"
Mom sent me some pictures while she was watching Crew on Tuesday and Wednesday.
And this picture was sent on Thursday by Gamma D. He loves his swing!
Delaynie and Crew... so cute!
I keep reminding myself of why I became a teacher-- to make a difference in the lives of my students. Teaching is something I love to do and feel I was made to do. I hope that this will get easier once I see my students' eager faces on Tuesday and get back into the swing of things.
Last week was my first week back to work. Fortunately I had some great babysitters to watch Crew and help him with the transition of being away from Mommy. On Monday, Lisa and Payton watched Crew while I had work meetings. On Tuesday and Wednesday my Grammie Laurie watched him, and on Thursday and Friday Crew got to hang out with Gamma D. and Grandpa Ice. It helped knowing Crew was in great hands each day.
Crew starts at his daycare tomorrow. He'll be going to an in-home daycare provider named Kris. I hope he does well. I know I'll be a mess dropping him off in the morning! Wish me luck. :-/

The Sherman men! Crew was wearing his new Rodgers jersey.
On Friday Karlin came to school with me to help in my classroom. The whole Lipinski clan came with to drop her off on Thursday night.

4 Months Old
Our little boy is four months old! He's a little butterball weighing in at 17 pounds 12 ounces and measuring 25 inches in height. He's fitting into size 6-9 months already, though pants are pretty long on him. He pretty much bypassed the 3-6 month clothes! He is a curious little fella and always needs to know what's going on around him!
Milestones: Crew rolled over from tummy to back, but hasn't done it much. I think it's hard for him with all the extra padding! Not long after his 3 month birthday he found his midline with his hands and feet. He always sits with his hands together and loves to put his feet together, too. He's discovered his feet, but he can't reach them with his hands yet. He's getting really close to sitting up unassisted.
Likes: Crew loves to talk. He's a very social little guy! Recently he's started screeching while he's talking. It's so funny! He loves sitting in his bumbo to watch what's going on around him. He likes watching Poopsie running around, and he also likes looking at and studying faces. His hands are still his favorite thing to chew and suck on.
Rice Cereal Time!
Yesterday we gave Crew his first taste of solids (per his pediatrician's OK). He made the funniest faces. Of course we had to get some pictures of this experience (I was a little camera happy)!
