Our Walkway

This week's DIY project: a paver walkway! We are soooo pooped, sore, and sunburned (Jer), but it's complete! Thank you to my wonderful hubby and awesome dad! I love how it turned out!

Ball Game and Cabinets

The Woodchucks game was a blast! Baseball, sunshine, family and Summer Shandy.. a great combination! The best part... Mom won a laptop in the eight inning! We were SO excited, especially because she's been needing one for the longest time! While we were walking down after her name was called I said, "I think that one was from Cynthy." :) What was really crazy then was the picture Lisa sent of us walking back up to our seats after she got it. Check out that light beam!

Little Miss Payton was hilarious the whole game.  She was dancing to the music, cheering for Woody, and making everyone around us laugh. She has this infectious giggle... it's the cutest thing! She really loved Woody, except when he got too close for a high-five, then she was petrified. Haha! I hope to go to anther game again soon.

Now, here's today's house progress:

The upstairs rooms have baseboards. 

The shower guy started prepping the shower for tile.

Our fireplace cabinets are getting further.

And they've begun on the kitchen cabinets! Yes!!!

We see deer a lot up at our house. Pretty! 

Good Riddance, Rock!

Our rock is gone... Hooray! It took four and a half loads to get rid of it all, but it's so good to see it gone! There is a couple a bit down the road from us that is building a house too, and they had no problem with rock! We must have had the lucky lot. ;) They actually used our rock loads as fill on their lot. That worked out nicely for both of us.

As for the inside of the house, the guys are working on trim work and have started on our cabinets. We're doing white trim and kitchen cabinets with espresso brown doors, fireplace shelves, and kitchen island. I'm liking it!

We're going to a Woodchucks game tonight with Dad, Mom, Mason, Lisa, and Payton. It's a beautiful day for a ball game!

Painting Weekend

We had our big painting weekend yesterday and today! We got the majority of it done yesterday, thanks to the great helpers we had! Today we went back and did some touch-up work. I also painted a chevron wall in the downstairs bathroom. I really like how it turned out!
It's so cool to see color on the walls!

Viola! I still have to do some touch-ups where paint seeped through... but not bad! 

We Have Light!

The electrician was hard at work today at our house! We have lights, switches, and outlets! I turned all the lights on in the house and rang our new door bell a bunch of times. Haha!

Our tile was laid out, too. Tomorrow they'll do the grout. They also have the whole house primed, so we can get the house painted this weekend!
