22 Weeks

How big is the peanut? Baby is about 11 inches and almost a pound! 

Maternity clothes? Uh huh.

Sleep? Tossing and turning more with backaches. :( I'm not supposed to sleep on my back, but I keep rolling onto it in my sleep. Whoopsies. 

Best moment this week? Christmas celebrations with our families! 

Worst moment this week? Almost passing out at the mall. :-/

Food cravings? More OJ!

Food aversions? Nope.

Gender? ??? No idea! I did the pencil test at Sherman Christmas and it said girl. I did the penny test today and it said boy. Haha!

Belly button in or out? Out.

What I miss? Being flexible.

Movement? Baby is still moving like crazy. I love it! 

How am I feeling? Super, but I'm sad winter break is almost over.

What I'm looking forward to? 2014! It's going to be another big year for us! 

Merry Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas Eve!!! Jeremy and I will be having a yummy roast for dinner, opening up our ornaments to each other, and snuggling up to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation! Fun times!!

21 weeks

How big is the peanut? Baby Shermie (as my mom calls him/her) measured in at the 45th percentile at our 20 week ultrasound. :) That puts baby at about 12 ounces! :) 

Maternity clothes? Yes.

Sleep? Been sleeping great.

Best moment this week? Seeing our baby at the ultrasound! Bunsie was folded in half the entire time again, so we might have to go back so they can get some more pictures. I don't mind going back. :) 

Worst moment this week? None... good week!

Food cravings? Orange juice! Can't live without it! Yummmmm.

Food aversions? Nope.

Gender? ??? 

Belly button in or out? Out.

What I miss? Enjoying an old fashioned at Christmas time!

Movement? Yes! I am loving feeling the baby kick up a storm. It's the most incredible feeling.

How am I feeling? Other than very large, pretty good.

What I'm looking forward to? Christmas celebrations with our wonderful families! It's so crazy to think we'll have a 7 month old baby next Christmas!

20 Weeks

I'm halfway to meeting the baby! Woo hoo!!! 

How big is the peanut? The size of a banana!... About 10 inches (head to heel) and 8 1/2 ounces

Maternity clothes? Yes. I need to get some more, especially pants!

Sleep? Sleeping wonderfully! I loooove sleeping! 

Best moment this week? See below. :) 

Worst moment this week? None. Things are going pretty well in this second trimester.

Food cravings? Everything it seems. :-/

Food aversions? Nope.

Gender? ??? Dreamt this week I was pushing a little blue eyed, brown-haired baby girl in a shopping cart. I've also dreamt little one was a boy though. :) 

Belly button in or out? Outie. 

What I miss? Having a back that doesn't ache every night. It's so worth it though!

Movement? YES!!! Finally! This was the best part about this week! I felt tiny tapping-like feelings earlier in the week but I didn't know what it was for sure. Throughout the week they started getting a bit stronger and I am positive it's my little babe moving. It feels like pokes coming from the inside. It's so exciting! 

How am I feeling? Itchy, achy, and tired, but oh soooo happy. :) 

What I'm looking forward to? We have our 3D ultrasound tomorrow!!! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!!!

Leinies and Packers!

This past weekend we had some friends, Stef and Gabe, from Arizona visit! It was great catching up with them. They wanted a true Wisconsin experience on their visit, and with the weather we had, I think they got it! It was a cooooold one this weekend!

On Saturday, we went to the Leinenkugel's Brewery Tour. I've ALWAYS wanted to go there, and I didn't get to try any samples! It was still really cool hearing the history of Leinies beer. I recommend going if you haven't yet. It was only one dollar and you get 5 beer samples!

Then on Sunday, we went the Packers game. We all froze, but it was so much fun! It was an intense game and our Pack won! WOO HOO!

19 weeks

How big is the peanut? 6 inches (head to rump) and about 8 1/2 ounces

Maternity clothes? Yep.

Sleep? Better this week, and I've only been getting up one time to go pee!

Best moment this week? Seeing the babe at our appointment! He or she was literally folded in half with feet on forehead! It's kind of hard to see, but check out the pic below!

Worst moment this week? No bad moments, just super busy at work!

Food cravings? Same old, same old.

Food aversions? None.

Gender? After seeing how flexible the baby was at our appointment, I'm thinking I'm having a mini-me little girl. My coworker said her son was always bent in half like that though. We shall see! 

Belly button in or out? Out.

What I miss? Sleeping on my belly!

Movement? Nope, but I found out I have an anterior placenta (placenta in the front instead of the back). That means it might take me a little longer to feel anything. Booo.

How am I feeling? Feeling good, still tired all the time.

What I'm looking forward to? Putting up our tree this weekend!

18 Weeks

How big is the peanut? 5 and a half inches (head to rump) and about 7 ounces

Maternity clothes? Yes.

Sleep? Not as great as usual this week... Tossing and turning a bit more. 

Best moment this week? Thanksgiving break!! We had great times with some wonderful people! We sure had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Worst moment this week? Poopsie drove me crazy during our visit to Jake and April's house. She has bad travel anxiety and would not settle down at all! 

Food cravings? Same stuff... Mexican and orange juice. Yum! 

Food aversions? None.

Gender? ...? We've been getting a lot of guesses. Two of my good friends think boy, April thinks boy, Jeremy thinks girl, and I'm thinking girl. We'll see! 

Belly button in or out? Out.

What I miss? Clothes fitting!

Movement? Still not feeling little Sherman move. 

How am I feeling? My back's been hurting at the end of the day, but still feeling pretty well!

What I'm looking forward to? We have two friends visiting this weekend, and we're going to the Packers game Sunday! :)

17 Weeks

How big is the peanut? About 5 inches and 5 ounces... :) Whoa baby!
Maternity clothes? I did wear a maternity sweater one day this week. It's one of those I could wear without being pregnant though.
Sleep? Like a rock! Before getting pregnant I'd sometimes have a hard time falling asleep. Not anymore! I hit the sack and I'm out in a couple minutes. It's awesome! Now, if I didn't still have to get up multiple times a night to pee, I'd be golden!
Best moment this week? Getting a really sweet note from Jer before he left for hunting camp yesterday. I have the best husband ever!
Worst moment this week? Stepping on the scale yesterday. Yikes, yikes, double yikes. I'll leave it at that.
Food cravings? Still loving Mexican food.
Food aversions? Nope.
Gender? I'm sooo curious, but it'll be worth the surprise when baby Sherman is born.
Belly button in or out? Out a bit.
What I miss? Having energy.
Movement? Not yet. :(
How am I feeling? Other than being tired most of the time, I'm feeling well.
What I'm looking forward to? I have Wednesday through Friday off of work.. Yahoo!! I'm excited to see  family and eat some yummy food for Thanksgiving. My friend Amanda will also be in town this weekend! :) It's going to be a great week!

16 Weeks

How big is the peanut? 4.5 inches!
Maternity clothes? Getting close, but not quite yet. I bought some shirts yesterday to wear in the coming weeks. :)
Sleep? Weird dreams!
Best moment this week? Beginning our Christmas shopping!
Worst moment this week? I wasn't feeling well all day Monday. :(
Food cravings? Mexican food! Yum, yum, double yum.
Food aversions? Nope.
Gender? We're going to be surprised. :) Chinese gender predictor chart says boy. ?
Belly button in or out? Ahhh! It's starting to come out a bit already! Weird.
What I miss? Enjoying a cold beer with Jeremy.
Movement? No. I can't wait to feel this little bugger!
How am I feeling? Large and in charge!
What I'm looking forward to? Our next appointment in the beginning of December. I can't wait to see the baby again!

Crafting!

This week I made these cute magnets! I got the idea from a boy in my class. He and his mom made some. They're suuuuper easy! I love how they turned out!

15 Weeks

How big is the peanut? About 4 inches :)
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I can't button a couple of pairs of my pants. I'll have to get a couple of belly bands soon to keep my pants up!
Sleep? Sleeping well, but I get up 2-3 times to go to the bathroom. It's better than the 4-5 times I was going a night up until about a week ago. Eeks!
Best moment this week? Our 2nd ultrasound! Baby's heartbeat was strong and he/she was still moving around like crazy!
Worst moment this week? No bad moments this week. :)
Food cravings? I can't get enough orange juice!
Food aversions? Not really.
Gender? It's going to be a surprise! First I was thinking boy, now I'm leaning towards girl. We're just hoping for healthy.
Belly button in or out? In.
What I miss? Buttoning all my pants.
Movement? Not yet.
How am I feeling? Good! Starting to get some energy back.
What I'm looking forward to? Feeling the baby move...hopefully soon!

BIG NEWS!

Jeremy and I are having a baby!!! We are so, so, SO excited!

Yesterday we had a little housewarming party and told everyone, so I can finally tell the world the news!

Let's rewind seven weeks to when I found out...
I took a test and it said POSITIVE!!! I quickly tried to think of a cute way to tell Jeremy who was watching TV in the other room, but I couldn't think of anything other than putting a "bun in the oven." So, I went to the kitchen, trying to act as composed as I could. I took a hotdog bun (the only kind of buns we had) and put it in the oven. Then I called Jer over.
Me:"Jeremy, can you come look at the oven for a second?"
Jer: "Can't you wait until my show's over?"
Me: "No. Just please come look quick."
Jeremy walked over to the oven, opened it, and said: "It's a fricken hotdog bun. I didn't put it there."
Me: "But why is it there?"
Jer: "I don't know... I didn't put it there!"
Me: (Having to spell it out) "It's a bun... in the...
Jer: "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"

Then I whipped out the test and said "YES!" He picked me up and swung me around a couple times and quickly forgot about missing his show. :) Such a funny, cool, unforgettable moment.

Back to today...
I'm a little over 13 weeks now, and am finally getting back some of my energy. I didn't have any morning sickness (thank goodness). I just felt very tired and "off" for about 9 weeks.

We had our first ultrasound on Tuesday, but we're going back in next Tuesday for more pictures. The doctor was having trouble seeing the baby since it was sitting so far back and was moving around so much. When I saw how much our little one was jumping around I knew exactly where all my energy had gone. The doctor said, "You two have a very active one!"

I'll try to keep you updated on this pregnancy journey on this blog. I've been really busy at work this school year. That coupled with my fatigue has made it more difficult to keep up on here. Bear with me, I'll do my best. :)

Pumpkin Time!

Jeremy and I had a nice little Saturday yesterday. We went to IHOP for some breakfast, took a trip to a little pumpkin farm, and Jeremy got all of our blinds hung up in the house! Woo hoo for some

privacy!!
